Here are some top features to look for in a good website designed for a small business.

  • Domain name is catchy and easy to remember
  • Clean and clear logo
  • Tagline to explain what your business does
  • Call to action button
  • Top navigation
  • Bread crumb navigation
  • Slider or main image to convey main point of business
  • Business information - menu & location etc
  • Testimonials and reviews
  • Main features of your products & services, location and office etc
  • High quality content with links to inner pages
  • Footer to show contact information (physical address, phone, email)
  • Footer to include social media buttons (or at top of page under site navigation)
  • Contact form to include Captcha or anti-spam feature
  • Privacy policy page
  • FAQ page
  • Blog page
  • Blog to include search facility and sidebar showing top posts and social media share buttons to promote marketing from visitors
  • Links should be easily recognisable
  • Chosen font (body and headings) should be clean and easily readable
